A Drunk Man Attacked a Paramedic in the Hospital of Zielona Góra

On Monday, February 24, a paramedic was brutally attacked at the Emergency Department of the University Hospital in Zielona Góra. The assailant, a 29-year-old man under the influence of alcohol and in possession of drugs, beat and kicked the medic, causing multiple injuries, including broken ribs. A police officer off duty witnessed the incident and alerted authorities, leading to the attacker’s arrest.

The medical community is outraged, demanding strict punishment for the perpetrator. Local physician and councilman Robert Górski called for immediate pre-trial detention. The University Hospital issued a statement emphasizing its commitment to staff safety and confirming that the injured paramedic is receiving medical and psychological care.
