Ice Skating Rink in Zielona Góra Till End of February

Last Chance to Enjoy Ice Skating at Plac Bohaterów

Residents and visitors of our town still have a chance to enjoy the joys of ice skating at the seasonal rink next to the well-known fountain, “Fontanna na Placu Bohaterów.” However, time is running out, as the rink will remain open only until the end of February. That leaves skaters with roughly two more weeks to take advantage of this winter attraction before it disappears until next season.

The ice rink is operated by a private company, which means it must remain financially viable to continue running. With temperatures expected to rise as spring approaches, the cost of maintaining the ice in good condition would increase significantly. For this reason, the rink is set to close at the end of the month.

For those who haven’t yet laced up their skates this season, the rink’s opening hours are from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with a scheduled 30-minute maintenance break at 3:00 PM. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or a beginner, the rink offers a great way to embrace the winter spirit while getting some exercise.

The pricing is quite accessible: tickets are available for 18 PLN for adults and 15 PLN for children. If you don’t own a pair of skates, there’s no need to worry—rental skates are available for an additional 12 PLN. For those who prioritize safety, helmets can also be rented for 5 PLN.

As the final weeks of operation approach, many residents are expected to take to the ice for a last few rounds of skating. If you haven’t yet visited the rink this season, now is the perfect time to gather your friends or family and make the most of the remaining winter days.

Make sure to take advantage of this opportunity before the rink closes, as the next chance to enjoy outdoor ice skating in the town center may not come until next winter.
