Sindarius Thornwell has officially left Orlen Zastal Zielona Góra

Sindarius Thornwell has officially left Orlen Zastal Zielona Góra and is set to continue his career in China with the Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers. His departure had been speculated for days, and the club confirmed it on February 8, stating that he would leave once his buyout clause was paid.

Thornwell had a mixed performance at Zastal, showing flashes of brilliance but also struggling early in the season. Over 17 games, he averaged 13 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game. His absence will be felt as Zastal prepares for its next match against Legia Warsaw on February 9.

The team is also dealing with injuries, including their top scorer, Wesley Harris, and uncertainty surrounding the availability of newly signed center Veljko Brkić. Despite being the underdog, Zastal remains determined to compete. After the game against Legia, the team will go on a break for international matches and the Polish Cup, returning to league play on March 2 against Górnik Wałbrzych.
